Traditionally, the fitness industry starts to get quieter between November and the end of the year.

Unfortunately some fitness businesses tend to put the brakes on which then means December is quiet = high stress because the income has slowed down.

The great news is that my clients continue to grow their fitness business because we have been proactive building that momentum so the quieter times don’t hit as hard.

$10 000, $20 000, $30 000, $40 000 and $50 000 are normal monthly incomes for my clients.

You can still grow your fitness business and get more clients!

Here are some of the strategies they will use to grow during the festive season.

Continue to market – what has been something that worked for you during the year? Or if you have the data from last November/December what marketing did you do and did it generate leads?

Be visible and continue to market because you will then be in the forefront of your prospects mind when they are ready to kick off the New Years Resolution!

Jump on Facebook marketing, it’s normally cheaper at this time of year as well. No stopping on the ads, go harder!

Commit to being better at selling – know your numbers and that will help guide you as to what action you need to take. How many enquires did you receive? How many did you chat to? How many came in for a session/offer? How many converted into a full paying client?

It’s really important that you know these numbers as most people think they have a leads challenge however when I dive into people’s numbers it’s more a sales challenge and they need to improve their skills.

Referrals Referrals Referrals!!!!  EVERY SINGLE FITNESS BUSINESS needs a referral system at point of sale!! If you don’t then you a letting go of a ton of leads. People are exciting and want to share their new fitness program with friends, family and work colleagues.

I’ve even heard people say ‘Oh I didn’t know I could bring my friend’

Why? Because people don’t ask!!!

It still amazes me just how many fitness businesses don’t have a referral system in place.

Social proof, before and after pictures, client testimonials. Share the love!! The more you can demonstrate how you help others achieve results then the more enquires you have flowing because people can see you are changing lives.

They will see that you actually get people results and if you can get them results then you can help THEM.

Stop focusing and worrying about what your competition is doing and start focusing on your business. My clients have an understanding as to who is around however their focus is their own business. They focus on what is in alignment with who they truly are and who they serve. When you do that you attract those amazing people who absolutely adore what you do.

Continue to build your database give away valuable freebies, provide regular, consistent valuable information and have low end offers going out regularly.

Go Facebook Live! Video is the game changer right now on social media and even Facebook says they are giving preference to video. Go live on Facebook and show your community who you are and how you can help them. My clients who are doing this are getting amazing exposure.

Share the love! When was the last time you sent out a hand written thank you card to your clients or a well done I am so proud of you?

When you share the love it comes back to you ten fold.

Work on your mindset, if you believe it’s quiet and you will struggle then that’s what you will create. Your thoughts become your reality. Open yourself up to the possibility that you can have massive months during this time. Generally winter can be know as a quite time for fitness business however I had many of my clients hitting record double figure months in June/July and they live in Melbourne!

Reactive past clients.  Follow all of your past clients and enquires and let them know about a 30 day re-start program that you have to help them kick start them and move them closer to their health and fitness goals. Make it an attractive price point that provides so much value that they can’t say no to.

Run a 10 week transformation challenge starting November for existing clients that keeps them on track during the festivities and for potential clients so that you can bring in new paying clients and start the new year on top.
