I am coming across a lot of personal trainers at the moment questioning their circle of influence, what’s sad are some of the comments that is being said to people about their goals and the negativity associated with what they are wanting to achieve. Jim Rohn suggests asking yourself the following questions:
Who am I around?
What are they doing to me?
Where have they got me going?
What have they got me saying?
What have they got me reading?
Is that ok? Take each person and ask yourself those questions and I am not saying it isn’t ok but you need to check the people around you because this will determine where you end up.
When you do ask yourself those questions you will have 3 options:
1. Disassociate and keep your distance, learn how to say no to the wrong influence.
2. Limit – some people you can spend minutes with but not hours, other days but not weeks.
3. Expand – find people who you value and want to spend more time with to help shape where you end up.
